FAITH RINGGOLD STORY QUILTS by FIRST GRADERS

The first graders have their story quilts on display this week.
I love the idea of translating a story into a picture and then in to a quilt.
Nice job!
I plant a flower every day after school with my mom.
Me and my family go skiing every year.
I like spending time with my mom and dad like eating dinner.
I like to play with Pippa!
Every Wednesday my family goes to church.
Each year my family decorates our Christmas tree together.
The ball is in the tree. I went to get the ball.

LANTERN STILL LIFE by FIFTH GRADERS

These were done with charcoal pencils using various techniques. On display at our school this month.
Very nice shading on this one!
I like how they added the table as an extra dimension.
Here's one from a straight side view.
Nice details. Notice the background is shaded as well.
Close up view with lots of movement and energy.
Great line technique on this one.

Well, that's it for today. Thanks for stopping by!

PAUL KLEE HEAD ART by THIRD GRADE

Life is such a puzzle. Especially when the art teacher asks us to create self-portraits in the style of Paul Klee.

Hope we don't all fall to pieces!
Thanks for stopping by.

HUNDERTWASSER YARN FLOWERS by THIRD GRADERS

The yard gives these projects a nice 3-D effect. This is a nice project for 3rd and 4th graders (8-10 years old).

The flowers also look great when displayed together!

Meow! There are many of us prowling the hallways this week. Leave a bowl of milk out and we might start purring! The art teacher let us out this morning and now she can't catch us!

This project took four 30 minute sessions.
For ages 5 to 8 years old.
Thanks for stopping by!
